You collect Power, Food, and Water from rooms worked by your dwellers, and Vault Happiness increases with dweller satisfaction at the job you assign to them and your overall management of these three resources. Resource management is an important part of the game. The resource production and consumption rates in the statistics menu The next gear icon is the Game Options, including how to save your game.I will assume that you will be checking this frequently and building resource rooms when your production rate falls below your expenditure

This is very useful when working out when to build new Resource rooms. Check the Statistics menu for a breakdown of your resource production and expenditure per minute. The penultimate icon takes you to the Survival Guide (basically a pictorial collection of everything you unlock in the game), Help, and Statistics menus. The next icon, the three stacked boxes, takes you to your Vault storage, separated into Weapons, Outfits, Junk and Pets. You need to complete 100 Objectives for an achievement, so make sure you know where this screen is accessed from! The next icon down (an award ribbon) takes you to the Daily Report screen, which you get a reward for checking each day (an amount of Caps determined by your overall Vault happiness on the first six days, and a Lunchbox every seventh) and the Objectives screen, where you can see your current three Objectives, delete one per day that you do not wish to complete, and claim rewards for completed Objectives. This icon will be greyed out before you build the Overseer's Office.

This is also accessible from the Overseer's Office room.
